In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
